Library IT Support Officer

  • Hourly rate between $25.70 and $27.85 plus superannuation
  • Temporary, 7 months
  • Part-time, 30 hours per week

An exciting opportunity exists for an IT support role within the Port Phillip Library Service as part of the Culture and Leisure Department of the City of Port Phillip.

The focus of the role is to act as the first point of contact and resolution of IT related issues at the library front desk. It would also include library customer service duties on the circulation desk both during the week and on rostered weekend shifts.
This position would suit a person who has the following key skills and experience:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and high level understanding of Windows applications
  • Some experience in a helpdesk or similar role.
  • Awareness of networking infrastructure.
  • Thorough documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a public library or similar setting would be advantageous.
This role would suit a person who likes problem solving, exudes calmness, can work with minimal supervision, maintain a positive attitude, and is genuinely committed to providing great customer service in a learning environment.
