Casual Library Staff
Opportunities exist for experienced Librarians, Library Technicians and Customer Service Officer to work in one of Victoria’s most proactive, dynamic and technologically advanced Regional Library Services.
We are seeking enthusiastic, customer focused and suitably qualified staff for our casual list. There will be possibilities to work at any of our eight branches and to pick up hours during the week or at weekends.

A rewarding and interesting opportunity available for a Heritage Databases Officer within the Parliamentary Library. This is a full time, fixed term (maternity leave replacement) position. Position Details Department of Parliamentary Services
Applications are invited for the position of Heritage Databases Officer in the Parliamentary Library on a full time basis until 30 September 2011.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Library's pictorial collection and acts as a registrar for lending of heritage artefacts. Other key tasks include ensuring the timely production of the Members' Handbook, a publication containing photos and information on Members of Parliament, and updating databases on Members and past Members of Parliament as a result of the November 2010 election.
Applicants should possess well developed administrative and organisational skills, along with experience in the use and maintenance of databases.
Salary: Grade 3 $53,502 - $59,233 plus superannuation
Term of appointment: full time, fixed term until 30 September 2011

The King David School in Armadale requires a part time (0.58) Library Technician to commence late January 2011.
The 22 hours per week are comprised of four mornings (8am to 12.30pm) and one afternoon (12noon to 4pm).
Hours are worked during School Terms only.
Essential skills include:
• Dip. Library and Information Services
• Experience with e-library software and AV equipment
• Excellent IT, cataloguing and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff and students.
